Dear fan,

How have you been?

I’ve been busy trying to refocus my life.

There’s wishes and dreams that I have. However, I’m not doing squat about any of them. So instead, I’m trying to be more involved in the life I am currently a part of.

What does that mean?

Here’s an example:

Let’s say a guy named Fred really wants to travel the world. It’s his dream. He watches YouTube videos about far off places. He reads books about ancient destinations you can visit today. He imagines what it would be like to travel the land meeting the local people.

But he doesn’t have the money for that. And he’s probably never going to make that much money. And if he was making that much money he wouldn’t have the time to go on these kinds of trips. It’s not feasible. It’s not realistic. Plus, he’s not really up for doing what it takes to work hard for a while in the hope that he’ll be able to one day live his dream. It’s a lot of work for what might be very little payoff.

So, he instead decides to just live the life he is currently living, but to live it better. Take work more seriously. Hang out with current friends more often and more graciously. Go to family events and talk with family members more intently. And overall, just choose to be happy with where he is.

Is that so bad?
