Last night I had a dream. It was quite powerful. Just to give you a preview so you can follow along better, the theme of my dream was basically:
We started this to help people. To give them a place to go. A place where they can be understood.
Well… I didn’t actually lose $30 dollars. I know exactly where it went. Into the pockets of a Chinese scam artist!
But first, a prologue.
Years ago – I mean years ago – I became intrigued by all the internet ads promising free iPods or laptops. In my mind there were two thoughts on the matter:
I asked myself a question tonight. As I sat on the front porch swing, swaying in the cool spring breeze, I asked myself a very important question.
If you could do anything, what would you do?
Instead of looking at your job as a day full of tasks you barely get to finish, if you get to finish them at all, look at your job as a day full of people you get to influence.
I feel like every day goes by and there’s so much to get done at work, but things never get completed.
And that’s ok.
Don’t fret too much.
It’s going to be ok.
Besides, does it really matter that much?
P.S. – you are most likely replaceable. So, be thankful you haven’t been replaced yet.
Having high expectations can be very dangerous, not only for your mental health but for your physical health as well.
The way you cross the street is directly related to how laws and statutes evolve here in America.
*applause and cheering*
