As usual, I started strong with big ideas. Goals so far you need a telescope to see them. Grandiose plans prohibitively enormous the scales of the universe itself does not measure up… I got too big for my britches. SOOO big-

Look, bottom line is I had this plan to make like 10 to 15 videos this month all about eliminating waste. From paper and plastic waste, to food waste, to time and energy waste. But then I thought instead of putting in maximum effort to write, research, and then rewrite scripts to shoot, I’d write some blog posts that no one will ever read which will serve as the basis for my scripts next year. That would also give me a chance to try and eliminate waste in my life, learn what it takes, find what works and what doesn’t, and see if I can really save as much money as some other post I wrote made it sound.

Truth is: I’m lazy, I’m,… ok maybe I’m just lazy. I like watching YouTube at night before going to bed. I like watching videos about theories for upcoming superhero movies. I enjoy sitting and sleeping. Fast food is just so darn easy. And all my smart electronics use a lot of energy, I’m sure. Heck, the power plant probably has a generator with my address on it, ready to supply my endless amount of electronics with the power they crave at the drop of an iPin.

However, I’m still working on it. I’m using a water bottle. I have a mug at work for making tea. I bought metal dinnerware for work so I don’t use plastic forks and spoons. And I try not to use a straw if I don’t need one (which, let’s be honest, is never – you never NEED a straw).

And I’ll keep working on it.

And working and working and working…

P.S. – ok, real talk: the Imo’s Pizza place near me caught fire last year. And they have finally reopened. So. I don’t have a choice. I have to eat there at least every other Friday. It’s my obligation as a loyal customer.
